R&D partner identification and subsidy arrangement for SKF
Client: SKF (The Netherlands)
Industry: Bearings and Lubrication Systems
Goal: Developing advanced coating technologies
Project description: As a leading developer and supplier of ball and roller bearings, SKF wanted to find an R&D partner capable of co-developing advanced coatings. We identified a leading research institute in Moscow in the area of materials science, helped both organizations to define a joint R&D project, identified the relevant subsidy for high-tech cooperations between The Netherlands and Russia, and prepared all required documents for the subsidy tender.
Results: The subsidy for a 3-year R&D project was approved by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. It has covered the full project cost. As a result, a new coating material and technology was developed and received an “SKF Excellence Award”.
